Chasing Daylight

words and music by

The tragic poetry of leaving

All those sad embarrassing goodbyes

Security, departure lounges

Then into the bluest of blue skies

Seems like everyone's moving when you are

Back on earth they never move at all

Its good to leave its good to stay home

The past is sometimes better than the now

I'm chasing daylight in row 52K

Curled up in a womb that's got a view

The waiting is hard, harder than doing

But I'm headed for the U.S.A.

Over the ocean, eating, sleeping

Underneath me Greenlands mountains gleam

I wake up still tired and distant

Hurtling ever westward to my dreams
